How to Buy a Single Axle Dump Truck

|

A single axle dump truck can be found at used equipment stores and new truck dealers around the country. Peterbilt dump trucks have proven themselves to be reliable, and a fleet of these will help your construction business to stay ahead of the game. People rely on your company to provide project management, and to get work done in a timely manner. Having the best equipment will enable you to do this on a consistent basis time and time again.

For instance, the ability to move materials from one job site to another is fundamentally important, and having a fleet of such trucks with these capabilities is important. A single axle dump truck can handle simple things such as removing dirt and waste from the job site, and you need it to perform consistently from day to day.

Buying used has its advantages, but it can also come with problems from previous use. Having a mechanic on hand to keep your equipment in good working order is essential. Buying new is recommended because it will last longer and have better gas mileage. Rockanddirt.com has listings for all different brands of dump trucks, including single axle. For the most part, it comes down to a matter of how much you are willing to spend, or how much your company can afford to spend on a piece of equipment like this.

Even the best built trucks need to be replaced someday, and getting the most for your money will help to keep your company out of the red. It's easy just to keep repairing the same equipment multiple times, but you are probably going to be better off in the long run if you take the money to invest in a new truck, if that is what your company truly needs.

Simply put, your company needs to stay ahead of the competition, complete work on time, be able to handle several projects at once, so it makes a lot of sense to buy this kind of product if it will work for you. Large cabins make for worker comfort and flexibility, and controls that are in good working order as well are a must. If you choose to purchase a used single axle dump truck, make sure to thoroughly inspect the truck inside and out, and ask the dealer or seller about any past history with motor or other problems. Invest in your company's future with a good single axle dump truck.

Perry Como - "No Other Love"

|
(Notes from "The Incomparable Como" Readers Digest UK compilation 1975) Quote: Composer Richard Rodgers borrowed from himself for the melody for this lovely ballad from the show 'Me and Juliet'. The melody was originally a theme called Beneath the Southern Cross, which Rodgers had composed for 'Victory at Sea', the TV series about World War II. Perry's vocal version climaxes in a full-voiced high note ending that is superb singing and makes for dramatic listening. Como's tine control and the ease with which he soars to the top of his register, as critic Henry Pleasants noted, 'so easy, so natural, so inevitable. Como sings so well that few notice how well he sings. Unquote: Quote: The original music of this song was the haunting theme "Beneath the Southern Cross" written for the television series "Victory at Sea" telecast by NBC-TV for twenty-six weeks during 1952-1953. Lyrics were added by Oscar Hammerstein and as a song it was introduced by Isabel Bigley and Richard Hayes in the Stage musical "Me and Juliet" and recorded by Perry in May of 1953. The song appears to one of Perry's favourites and he performed it many times 'live' in public performance and on television but he never again recorded it. Unquote: Lyrics: No other love have I, Only my love for you! Only the dream we knew, No other love! Watching the night go by, Wishing that you could be, Watching the night with me, Into the night I cry! Hurry home, Come home to me! Set me free, Free from doubt, And free from ...

Customize Your Ride With Auto Meter Gauges and Stay Safe Too

|

Whether you own a commuter vehicle, highway cruiser, race car, high performance street rod, or a tricked out ATV, when it comes to replacing or upgrading your gauges, auto meter gauges are the only gauges you need to look for. Your vehicle's gauges are a visual indication of how your vehicle is performing. Depending upon what type of vehicle you own, the number of gauges and the purpose of those gauges may differ. However, regardless of what type of gauge it is, your gauges need to provide accurate information and be manufactured to withstand years of regular and consistent usage. Gauges are technologically advanced to provide concise readings and available in a vast assortment of unique styles suitable for virtually every customized vehicle.

Speedometers are just one of the many gauges available. A speedometer indicates the speed at which the vehicle is traveling and serves as a critically important visual aid that lets the driver know exactly how fast the vehicle is moving. The speed limits posted by those in authority are posted in order to protect the safety and security of all those who travel on the multitude of roadways throughout the world.

They are posted to serve as a warning of what is considered the maximum speed that a vehicle should be traveling based on that particular terrain and environmental condition. Going above the maximum speed is considered to be hazardous and, as all those who drive on the highway are well aware, going above the speed limit can earn you a speeding ticket from a well intentioned police officer. These officials are trying to protect the driver of the vehicle, and the rest of the drivers on the road, from any personal or physical damages that might occur due to excessive speed. It is obvious the speedometer is a very important vehicle component.

Speedometers need to be extremely reliable and built to last, but not all are built with the same high quality standards. They are frequently relied upon by driving industry experts for their dependability, accuracy and designs that let them watch their speed in style!

Other customizable gauges include devices that provide a driver with important information about the current operating condition of the vehicle. Tachometers relay important information about how hard the engine of the vehicle is working to the driver. They measure the amount of power being generated by the engine and then visually convert this information into a unit of measure known as RPM's. Different engines are designed to withstand different RPM's and also built to withstand different RPM's based on various road conditions and circumstances.

When a vehicles engine exceeds its specifically recommended RPM's, or revolutions per minute, it is working harder than it was designed or built to do, thus putting the proper functionality of the engine at risk. Changing gears at the appropriate time ensures that the vehicle does not exceed its individual RPM recommendations. Tachometer gauges transmit and relay this important information to the driver who can manually change gears to adjust the RPM's and keep the engine running at peak performance levels.

For vehicles with an automatic transmission, the tachometer gauge acts as the alert signal that the transmission is not operating properly, thus giving the driver the opportunity to stop the vehicle and avoid any additional trouble that might occur as a result of the gears not shifting at the appropriate time.

By having such a great offering of the finest materials and a large variety of styles, durable auto meter gauges can enhance the customized sport appearance of any vehicle.

How to Make a Deal When Buying a New Scooter Or ATV

|

Don't let the hard economical times scare you off from buying a scooter or an ATV. There are plenty of deals to be made these days. We will give you insider's tricks and secrets on how to get these great deals.

First, even before walking in a scooter or ATV store, know what you're looking for. Do some research. You can use magazines, reviews or the internet to get the information. Know the product that you're interested in. See what specialists have to say about it, be aware of it's strengths and weaknesses. This knowledge will be useful when negotiating the final price.

December, January, and February is the best period of the year to get great deals on scooters and ATVs. So profit of this. Dealers will be receiving the new models and need to make room for them. After the new scooters and ATVs have arrived, last year's models lose value on the market, creating excellent opportunities for buyers. Also scooters and ATVs that have been in the showroom for a long period of time created a debt for the dealer, so ask the dealer for his best price on a non-floored scooter or ATV. He should be more open minded. Also there are still numerous factory backed credit plans that have a zero percent interest rates. Take advantage of these situations. That is FREE money being lent. Another way of finding good deals is to befriend your local scooter or ATV dealers. Visiting often and asking questions will show them that you're interested and most of all, serious about buying. They might just surprise you with an inside scoop on an up coming manufacturers sale.

Don't forget, times are difficult for everyone, even dealers. If you want to negotiate hard, have some up front cash. This will work in your favor. Money talks. Showing money to a seller that needs to make a sale will make him more eager to finalize the sale. This could even give you the chance to negotiate some accessories, like a FREE matching helmet to go with your new ATV or scooter.

To know if you have been offered a great deal on your scooter or ATV, go on the internet to the manufacturer's website and find the manufacturer's suggested retail price. If you have been offered a 5% discount, that is a good deal and if you've been offered a 10% discount, that is a great deal. In some rare cases dealers will go below the 10% discount. That is a mega deal. Take the time to do the research. It will pay off. And don't get caught up in the moment.

If your budget doesn't allow you to buy a new scooter or ATV, there are always used scooters and ATVs that can be looked into. Some folks are drowning in debt and need to sell their ATV at a ridiculous price. Less than what they have invested in. This is one option. But if your heart is set on a new scooter and you want to profit off a zero percent interest rate, finding a co-signer for your loan this could be your solution. It's much better than paying high interest rates.

These are all insider's tricks and secrets that have been used for years, but dealers don't want you to know about this. This is the year to realize your dream of owning a scooter or an ATV. Go out there and please yourself.

If you are interested in finding scooters and ATVs TheScooterShowRoom.com has some available.

Scrub Radius on a Dune Buggy

|

The scrub radius is a distance between Steering Axis Inclination and center of the wheel where both of them would theoretically be touching the road. Steering axis is a line between the lower ball joint and the top most pivot of the hub. On the McPherson strut, the top most pivot point is the strut bearing whereas the bottom point consists of the lower ball joint. Making use of suspension using the lower and the upper control arms, pivot points are placed where the upright connects the control arms. The Inclination to the steering axis could be measured as the angle between the centerline and the steering axis. This means, if camber is found adjustable at the pivot points then SAI can be changed. Therefore, altering the scrub radius by altering the width of the offsets of the wheels could allow you to run the car safely.

If the centerline is inboard then the scrub radius is positive ad if it is outboard of tire centerline then the scrub radius is a negative one. The rear wheel drive trucks and cars mostly have a positive scrub radius and the FWD cars have negative or a zero scrub radius as they are having a higher level SAI angle. In order to alter the scrub radius, usage of the wheels having different offset than the stock could prove helpful. The main purpose of the scrub radius is to provide help center wheels after the cornering also for retaining the stability of the wheel.

Net effect of the running of an offset LESS in positive is a poor steering control that develops tram lining seen over the surfaces. The wheels would pull off on either of the sides which would encourage instability at high speed. Such sorts of effects could be lessened simply by setting the front wheel alignment to the neutral. However, in many of the cases it would simply be unwise for the usage of wheels that alters scrub radius of cars. This is the main reason why many of the insurance companies don't pay out on accidents that involve cars with after market wheels.

A larger scrub radius, four inches or maybe about 100mm were used earlier in most of cars. Its advantage is that the tire rolls just as wheel is steered that reduces on the efforts while parking the car. This also helps in increasing the width of the engine bay which is quite an important point in most of the sports cars. The scrub radius is of very much importance in regards with the steering stability and the wheel alignment. In case of a small scrub radius, contact patch would be spun in the place while parking the vehicle and it takes a lot of effort. An advantage of the scrub radius is that the small scrub radius allows the steering to become bit less of sensitive for braking inputs, particularly.
