Over the years, we have seen many Chinese ATV companies come in and out of the ATV and dirt bike industries...and they're all in a neck-to-neck fight with each other for a bigger share of the market. Lower prices. Bigger engine. More Power. Slick design. Better braking system. You name it, they have it. Although many of the dirt bike and ATV manufacturers deliver as far as quality is concerned but we feel the urge to remind our ATV and dirt bike fans, dealers and distributors that there's nothing more important than QUALITY CONTROL. We're talking about fun, yes. It's fun ATV fans after but that doesn't mean that we have to compromise our safety.

It's good news that many more people today have come to accept ATV riding and dirt bike riding as a regular sport because this often means a bigger market and wider acceptance for our products. Well...seat belts for one. (Duh!) But I'm shocked by how many parents let their kids ride at the go kart track without these.

Another crucial element is brush guard. These can provide some added protection from turning over--or running into things. (They don't cost much, so if you buy a razor electric go kart without one be sure to buy one.

Question No. 3: How Much Horsepower Do I Need?

Horsepower in go karts, as with automobiles, often confuses people. Horsepower does not directly affect the speed of the go kart. (That job instead goes to the gear ratio.)

Hp does affect the torque, which is why an 8 hp go kart will have more torque than a 5 hp go kart, but not necessarily run faster.

So what does this mean for you when buying a Razor Ground Force Electric Powered Go Kart? And how much hp do you need?

Well, starting torque is important when it comes to building speed in an electric go kart. But it's not totally necessary to have a ton of hp to run a go kart, especially one for use with kids.

Generally, an engine with 5-6.5 hp will be more than adequate to carry a youngster or light (ish) adult.

Try to stay away from engines that rest around the 3-3.5 hp level. These will have far too little torque to maneuver at the track.

ATV Landscape Equipment - What to Look for Before You Buy

ATV landscape equipment really adds to the usefulness of your ATV. The right ATV landscape equipment can make quick work of big chores.

You want to look at a few things before buying your equipment. One of the first things to consider is the capabilities of your machine.

Most atvs can tow a pretty good load, but some machines are better suited to landscape work than others. The best machines for this type of work are the automatic transmissioned four wheel drive models.

These machines usually have really good low end grunt that can easily move landscape equipment around without breaking a sweat. Another advantage is that the auto trans doesn't require you to constantly manhandle the clutch.

The four wheel drive gives you extra traction that prevents you from spinning your wheels and causing extra landscaping work for yourself.

The sport machines really aren't suited to this work. They usually don't have a good hitch set-up and they are usually a standard shift.

In terms of the actual equipment you should look at the quality. Most equipment comes with a standard three point hitch arrangement that utilizes a ball type hitch.

The most common ball size is a standard 2" ball. These are readily available in most auto supply stores. They are not included with equipment so you'll have to buy one separately.

Before you buy a ball be sure to confirm the required size for you piece of equipment.

The quality of the frame of the equipment is also critical. Be sure the metal used is a good thick gauge steel. Landscape equipment takes a beating so don't buy some lightweight aluminum piece that will quickly come apart.

In terms of frame construction be sure to look at the joinery. Typically it will be bolted or welded together. The advantage of welding is that they will not loosen with use, but if the weld does fail you will need a welder to fix the break.

If the framework is bolted together it will need an occasional tightening, but if a bolt fails it is an easier(and less expensive) fix.

Be sure to look at the quality of your equipment choice before you buy and remember-In the long run it is better to buy quality equipment once than lousy equipment twice.
